Respiratory Tea

This tea has been a life-saver for our family this year.  I found this recipe in “Be Your Own Doctor” by Rachel Weaver.  I have made a few adjustments by adding ginger and nettles.  This has knocked out colds and sinus congestion, for us, very quickly.

Respiratory Tea

2 parts peppermint

1 part oregano

½ part Echinacea root

½ part mullein

½ part comfrey leaf

1/8 part ginger

1 part stinging nettles

Steep ¼ cup of tea leaf mixture in one quart of water, just off the boil, for 20 minutes.  Serve hot or chilled.  Drink one cup every hour.
